Default PSI dropping?

I just kegged my first batch a couple days ago. I am force carbing using the set and sit method. I was out of town for a bit and when i got home and checked the regulator was reading a psi of a little over 5. Does this have something to do with the tank and regulator being in the fridge? Should i pop it back up to 12?

Thanks for any help.

Yes & yes. Regulators are temperature sensitive.
