Default Priming Sugar & the Boil

I just boiled my priming sugar and am ready to start bottling. My question is, how cool should I let the priming solution get before I put it in the bottling bucket? My instructions just say to "let it cool" with no other guidance. Thanks everyone!

I used to let it cool to pitching temps, but I've discovered there's no need to do that. Now I bring it to a boil and let it sit for 10 or 15 minutes just to kill any bacteria, then dump it in the bucket. I'd say the temp is probably still up around 170F. Your small amount of hot liquid will be quickly cooled by the 5 gallons of wort you're racking on top of it.

Boil for 15 mins to sanitize, cool for a few minutes and rack on top of it.
