Default Priming bottles... a stupid question from a n00b
Sorry if this is stupid, but I'm not sure how to do this...

I'm wanting to batch prime... using http://www.tastybrew.com/calculators/priming.html as a calculator, if it says I need 2.8 ounces of dextrose, does it matter if I add a 1/2 cup of water and boil to turn it into a syrup?

you should definitely mix with water and boil, it kills any nasties

Yeah, I know... but adding the water doesn't matter for weighing the proper amount of sugar to get the desired carbonation?

nope, just use the amount of priming sugar that the calculator calls for. A half cup of water won't screw up the calculation at all
