Default Other uses for Conries

I have one cornie (maybe two) that is no good for holding pressure. The lid hole is warped and after trying 5 different lids and a hammer, I can't get it to seal. So what can I do with it now? I guess I could always take it in for recycle but that seems so wrong!

It would make for a flower pot.
Attach a board to the top and you have a stool.

Uhh...
Play kick the can with it?

have you used a food grade lubricant? I've had pretty good luck making really beat up kegs hold pressure with lube.

Yeap, tried that too... I think one of them might be salvageable but the other is just plain crap...

maybe have the top welded on and put a port in it for an airlock and make yourself a stainless fermenter?

Sell the lids and all the hardware. Replacement lids cost as much as cornies.

Use the bodies to make 7g cornies for fermentation.

Has anyone actually tried this? I've seen some of the Sabco ones (they stopped making them?) but I don't thing I have the skill or even common sense to build this... but it would be fun to try!

You need to find a welder.
I think Yuri_R went in this direction. He cludged together a 3g, so you know a 7 is the next shoe to drop. He has the skillz to do the 7g.
