Default oster 5.0 side holes. Careful!!

Or, what not to do to your working kegerator.

For various reasons, I wanted to switch my co2 tank to the outside of my unit.Figured just about anywhere would be good to put the holes for the gas lines, its the side right? All the lines should run up the back. Well, as you can guess, second hole, PSSSHHHTTT.....

Apperantly there are pressurized coolant lines running up the left side of the unit, little tiny 1/8" copper lines, and i managed to hit one dead center. 1/4" the other way and I would have been scott free.

If anyone else it thinking about a mod like this, here is a photo of where those coolant lines are placed. proceed at yer own risk!

Default

pretty much all chest freezers contain the coolant lines on the four sides. The bottom and the lid (of course) are just insulation.
