Default no carbonation

Hi guys

I guys time for one of those stupid questions.
I bottled a porter about 3 weeks ago and got no carbination.
ive been brewing for five years and this has never happened before
i think it may have been the caps that i used because there is yeast at the bottom
of each bottle. is there any way i can carbinate this beer.

thanks Dave.

Sure! There are couple things to do. One is to check those caps! If you have a problem with your capper, make sure it's fixed before you recap. Also, check the bottles- if there are screw top bottles, you probably won't be able to get a good seal on them unless you're using a bench capper. Also, check the temperature. The bottles should be at 70 degrees or so.

If there is no carbonation at all, not even a pssst when you open, then what I would do is this: Uncap all the bottles and drop in carb tabs. I'm not 100% sure of the amount, but I think it's 2 per 12 ounce bottle. You'd have to follow package directions. Then recap with new caps. This should work.
