I'm totally accepting of the constructive criticism I've been getting (thanks!) but you make a good point. Have you seen the brewing vids on Youtube? I think mine are somewhere between those and what you'd almost pay for.

I enjoy explaining my process real time to the camera so I'll definitely record my next brew session. The funny thing is, it really makes you think about the steps when you try to explain to others so it's a learning experience on this end too.

Looking forward to seeing more. It's a good resource and will help a lot see what is involved. It was a good Idea to add them them to your signature.

I'm using Ulead Video Studio 9 for right now because I'm too lazy to learn Premier which I also have. I capture the DV, edit and assemble clips (usually with crossfade transitions), export the audio and then take that into Cool Edit Pro to do noise redux, compression, normilization. Then I reinsert that audio into Ulead and mix in a little 80's porno musak in the background. Wooo!

I think I need to tweak my WMV options just a bit to get the file size down. That last one hit 37Meg.

Nice job - clearly you were playing with a few of the editing features of your new software. Glad you made a constructive video in the process. Good luck with future brews and vids!

I suppose I wasn't super clear on my original post. I don't use the dishwasher to clean the bottes, it's merely to sanitize them. The bottles are already clean when they go in. No soap as of course the water can't get up into the bottles to rinse. The heat is where it's at. The water becomes steam and the steam sanitizes. Just like a baby bottle sanitizer. If you have a sani rinse mode (as I do) then even the water is super heated.

I've used this method on dozen of batches of beer and have never had an infected bottle. I moved to kegging because of the bottling and capping, not the sanitation of the bottles!


Hell, the dishwasher's one of the best ways to steam a whole salmon!!!
