Default New Pepsi Bottles

I dont know if anyone else has seen the new 16oz pepsi bottles... but they would make pretty good homebrew bottles.

The main arguments ive heard against using coke bottles to bottle is that
1) they're clear so they let in light
and
2)they look like... well.. coke bottles

Pepsi's new design is a brown plastic and it has a longneck.

I still prefer glass, but I pour my beers into pint glasses anyways so I might pick up a case or two from walmart and keep the bottles when im done. Beats having to cap.

interesting. I've been using coke/pepsi for people who i know won't give me bottles back, this might do the trick nicely.

Would reusing those caps work? Or is there a source for new ones?

i've reused a few times. It sort of takes away from the classy beer thing, but i don't give 'em to classy people (not that i know any : )

I have plastic bottles and the caps have been reused a few times with no problems. I have heard their life runs about 30 uses or so. I heard of people using them for longer as well with no problems.

I bottled some sparkling apfelwein in 2 liter soda bottles and reused the caps with no problems at all. Should work for beer, too, I would think.
