Default New Kegging...Few Issues

I just purchased a 2 keg system from KewCowboy. I kegged an IPA last Sunday and had it sitting at about 15PSI. It seems as though whenever I try a taste, residual beer comes out of the cobra tap, even after the value is shut off. I have to actually take the pin lock connector off so I don't have a huge mess. Has anyone else had this issue before? Also, my beer has a lot of head but not really any carbonation (body) in the actual beer.

Please help! Getting discouraged...

Thanks.

You can tighten the cobra tap.

Are you pushing the tap in or pulling it out? I had better luck pulling with my thumb rather than pushing.

When the pin lock connector is on the keg, the popet should be depressed...correct?
