Default never bottled before

never brewed before actually and I was wondering since it will be a few weeks until I go visit a friend in Ohio and he takes me to buy my kit, can you bottle your home brew in a twist off bottle? Currently I am drinking Killians and was wondering if I should keep the bottles or not.

I have used them with no problems but I also have a bench capper, I'm told that the hand helds don't do well with them.

You'll probably hear different things from different people. I would try a search at the top of the site, type in 'twist bottles' or something like that. Some people say they are more prone to breakage because they are generally thinner, but I can't say for sure. I use pop tops or Grolsch style.

Until I got all of my pop-top bottle together I used twist offs and I've lost about 1-2% of the bottles due to them not sealing. I've never broken one though. I was using Bud, Keith's and Alpine bottles, if that makes a difference.
