Default Natural Keg Carbing Pressure

Hi

Usually, I "set it and forget it", but I will be picking up a few more kegs, and plan to fill, add the sugar to carb, age, then serve....My question(s):

After carbing with sugar, the beer will absorb the Co2 and be carbed....What do I do next before I chill/serve? Do I have to burp it at all, or just set it to my normal serving pressure?

Thanks in advance!

BTW, I did use the "search", but did not find exactly what I needed.

Tim

As a matter of policy, I chill, burb, then hookup. Had a back-flow through a stuck check valve into the regulator once.

What do you mean by burb? Bleed off the pressure from natural carbonation before you put the air on the keg?

I think david misspelled "burp", and yes, that's what he means.

You burb when you're druk.

You want to release pressure on the keg because if it's pressurized, it'll flow back towards your regulator and tank when you first open pressure if you don't. Beer in your regulator is a bad thing, of course. Even if you have check valves, it's a good precaution because, as he said, they can stick.
