Default n2o tank for co2 gas.

heres a question i couldnt find on google. i have a 10# nitrous oxide tank jus laying around. can i use the tank to fill co2 gas?

Does it have DOT markings on the top? What's the rated PSI? If it's rated for at least 1800 psi you should be fine.

I'm not familiar with the valve used on Nitrous Oxide...but you may be able to find a replacement valve that's CGA320...and be in business.

The shop that does Hydro testing here in South Florida...refurbs tanks and replaces valves. I'd check with your local shop to see what they quote to change the tank over, if that's even a player.

like chuggs said, the only worry would be the valve connection used on top of the cylinder... the industry likes to segregate the valves based on the type of gas used.

the id on a n2o tank is bigger than a co2 and will leak if you try and use a co2 regulator.
