Default My First "real Kegging session"

Okay I'm going in..........

I've bottled and used pressure barrels before now. My Hob Goblin is going into my corny.

I am naturally carbonating so In theory I only need the CO2 to purge the air before and after racking. Then to keep pressure up after carbonation to help serve.
As you can see I have no pressure gauge.

I don't think I need one. What do you think?

Well, the cornies "over here" usually have about a 150 to 200 psi pressure vent. If your naturally carbonating, then you shouldn't need CO2 at all.

I've done it.

I purged the keg with CO2. added the priming mixture, used a racking cane and CO2 to rack.I Filled the corny, gave it another squirt of CO2, fitted the lid, pressurised. then vented by the pressure release valve.

It tasted that good I've just had a half pint. I tastes wonderful now.
I hope it's ready in 14 days. This was my emergency brew 'cause I'm out.
