Default Kegging head problems

I recently tried my first keg and I pressurized the keg at around 20 psi for 24 hours, then turned it down to 5 psi and then let it sit for a couple of days. When I poured it out, though, it was all head and carbonation. I don't think I over-carbonated, but I can't figure out what the problem is. I'm getting tired of waiting for the head to settle before I begin drinking my homebrew (which is a hazelnut brown).

Did you purge the keg before lowering pressure? Pour down the side of glass.

After pressurising to 20 you have to turn pressure to 0 then let the pressure off of keg. Then bring up to pour pressure.

I pressureize at 30 for 2 days then purge pressure then set at pour pressure for 2 days

Bobby_M>>I flood the keg with CO2 for one minute with the lid off, rack the beer in to the bottom gently, seal it, flood it, vent it. If there's still O2 in there after that, F it.

Yes, I made sure to purge some of the pressure when I turned it down and I always pour down the sides. It comes out full of carbonation.
