Default Keg Seal leaking

Bought a used pin lock keg a couple weeks ago locally. Went to clean it tonight to be filled and when I put the "cap" back on I noticed that the clamping mechanism was not very hard to clamp down. I had cleaning solution in the keg and when I shook it, the little pressure formed caused leaks to show. Before I try to return it, I thought I'd ask here if there was any easy way to tighten that seal.

Help?

Did you try pressurizing it? If not, try that and let us know if that helped.

Yes, tried and is leaked from about 5psi on up to about 20psi. Thought maybe it would seat itself but it never did.

Maybe you need a new seal. Or maybe the lid is bent.

Does the lever have the plastic feet? If so, that may also be a cause.

Try to get one that's holding pressure. Good luck.
