No clue. I saw a keg like this at my hbs the other day and didn't ask how it worked.

It's a pin-lock lid, so you have to depress the gas in post

Not anymore. You could try purging out of the liquid side but i would close my eyes and open my mouth

Really, the only time to purge is immediately after kegging in order to dilute the air in the headspace or maybe to drop pressure in an overcarb condition.
