Hi everyone- I know every honey has a different sugar content but does anyone have a rule of thumb for ounces or cups of honey used as a priming sugar for a 5 gallon batch of beer into 12 oz bottles?
Revvy's one of the cool reverends. He has a Harley and a t-shirt that says on the back "If you can read this, the bitch was Raptured. - Madman
I gotta tell ya, just between us girls, that Revvy is HOT. Very tall, gorgeous grey hair and a terrific smile. He's very good looking in person, with a charismatic personality... he drives like a ****ing maniac! - YooperBrew
there are general guidelines for honey, but remember that the sugar content is going to vary, sometimes considerably, between different batches of honey. its not a bad idea to take a gravity reading of it and do the calculation.
Agree that honey varies in sugar content but if you're just looking for a general guideline Norther Brewer has a nice calculator that will figure out the amount needed for tons of different forms of sugar.
