Default Hate to bottle, need some info

Dear BrewAbby,

So here is the deal, I hate bottling my beer. Well, the putting into the bottles is not so bad, but the cleaning and sanitizing of 40 bottles every time I brew is getting old.

Also, I only have enough bottles for on batch at a time, so this is slowing down my brew schedule.

I want to keg, and I think I could talk my wife into it. Only thing is I will not be able to afford a fridge to keep the kegs cool for serving.

So what do I do…

Hates to bottle

Frosty mugs for just a few or a keg in a cooler full of icewater for many beers are just 2 ways to do it.

Keep bottling & save up for a used fridge/kegerator.

Have a look at the tap-a-draft system: NORTHERN BREWER: Mini Kegs

You could also look into the 2.5-3 gallon mini keg systems. Your LHBS might carry them, or you can find them online. Instead of needing a CO2 tank, they use those little cylinders for power tools that are about 3 inches long. 3 Gallon Mini Draft System (New Keg) :: Midwest Supplies Homebrewing and Winemaking Supplies

If you have room for one of those in your fridge, you'd only be bottling half your batch. If it was me, I'd be pissed off at myself in a few months and I'd just save up for a few 5 gallon cornies and a cheap fridge/freezer. But hey, that's just me.

I'd go jockey box until you can find a cheap/free fridge on craigslist.
