Default Half full 32oz. bottle

Just got done bottling and only had enough to fill the last 32oz. flip top bottle half way. Will this over carbonate and explode?

Should I just dump it out or will it be ok do you think?

I've read a few posts on here where folks have half-filled bottles and they carbonated like crazy. Maybe open that one really early and see how it is?

I've heard a half full bottle can cause a bomb but haven't tested it myself. Even if it doesn't your likely to get oxidation.

Give it 10 days then drink it up!

Problem solved!

Or fill 2 12 ounce bottles with the beer....you'll get 1 full 12 and probably 3/4 of the last one....

If you had a CO2 bottle and a carbonator, you could test it out in a few minutes.

I've had a few half-filled 12 ouncers and they carbonated faster, but didn't overcarbonate enough to blow up or not be incredibly drinkable. I dont fear the half-filled bottle.

My only bomb this year was in a half-filled bottle.
