Default Gas Regulator Help!

So I was given a gas regulator from a family friend. I got my tank filled tonight and went to hook it up. I turned gas on and gas sprayed out by the nut connection (right where the regulator and tank hook up). What am I doing wrong or do I have to buy a new regulator?

There's supposed to be a gasket/o-ring thingy between the tank and the input to the regulator...

Cheers!

That's what I was thinking. Do they sell those at most brew shops?

If they carry tanks and regulators, they will. Otherwise any welding supply or gas company will have them...

Cheers!
