So I got three blue topped corny kegs off of craigslist. Everything is ok except they have different dip tubes for the gas. There is a little lip on the inside of the hole for the gas-in dip tube and it is slightly smaller because of the lip. They came with ghastly orange plastic ancient dip tubes with the smell of 7up on them. I bought metal replacements not knowing that they wouldn't fit, but now I have discovered the size difference. Is this common, is their a stainless replacement? Should I grind off the lip and make the hole bigger?

It is common. Some drill out the port to accept a standard tube. Others, just leave out the tube. Whatever works.
