Default Force Carbinating v. Bottle Conditioning

I recently became the proud owner of the Beer Gun (wife's Birthday gift ).

I was wondering if I were to use the beer gun for my Barley Wine, would it still age well without the benefit of yeast in the bottle? Maybe it would still have a little yeast in suspension and age well?

Bottom line question: Should I use the Beer Gun when aging beers?

Unless you have filtered, or long term crash cooled, there is probably some yeast left. I'd CPF away! I don't think yeast are a necessity to aging. Wine has no yeast left and people age it in the bottle all the time.
