Default Dry hopping in Keg -- VERY positive Resutls

So, I found my self with a beer ready to go into a secondary for dry hopping and no free secondary's. Opppsss... poor planning on my part.

I cleaned up a free keg, bagged up 0.5oz each of Cascade and Centennial in a grain bag and racked the beer on to em. I also used a racking wand to push the bag down to the bottom of the keg and let it sit under pressure for 8 days or so.

Today it was time to get it off the hops, I tried the keg to keg push but the beer was running VERY slow, but VERY VERY clear and SUPER hoppy. I stopped and racked off normally.

What caught me off guard was how incredibly clear the beer was. Normally my dry hopped beers are slightly hazy, this one is crystal clear. Coupled with the "hopback" effect, it made for a very nice hop aroma and flavor.

Just felt like sharing.

I had the same experience. I siphon the beer from the dry-hopping keg to the serving keg though.

your leaf hops may be acting as a filter. Yes dry hop in the keg is ACE!
