Default Do I need a washer?

When I went to buy my shanks, beer nuts etc. I was under the impression(from their website) that I would need a neoprene washer for between the tail piece and shank/beer nut part. The man who sold me the things told me I dont need it. Does anybody know if I do in fact need one or will it be alright without one?

Yes you need it. Unless it comes with the kit. I had to buy them when I bought my stuff at the LHBS.

I'd just buy a rubber one at the hardware store if the trip to the LHBS is out of the way. It won't hurt for a few days so you can tune in the kegerator and try it out. They may even have a silicone or neoprene washer there. I never looked.
