Default Dme conditioning

Decided to bottle condition this IPA batch since all kegs are full. My first time conditioning with dme. Ran it thru a carbonation calculator and came up with 9.3 oz of dme. Sounds a little high to me. Any input??

I didn't weigh it, but the few times I used DME to bottle carb a 5 gallon batch, I used 1.5 cups of DME. It's alot more than corn sugar- about twice as much.
