Default crud in faucet

Got a kegerator from my work that used to dispense kombucha. Reason I got the kegerator, is that no one could keep up the maintenance, hence this thread. I have golden brown stuff lining the faucet, and wondered how to get it out without damaging the faucet finish. I am assuming its lime or calcium buildup because I soaked it in oxyclean and scrubbed with a brush and not much happened. Anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance!

If it is lime or calcium a vinegar soak should work.

My suggestion is to replace the faucet with a Perlick 525SS and never worry about constant maintenance again! Just run cleaner through the faucet when you do your lines and occasionally break it down.
