Default craig's list score

just happened to be perusing craig's list and found a guy selling 45 .5 liter flip top bottles for $1/each. i figured that was a pretty good deal so i got them. most of them are scratched up pretty good from the plane flight from germany, but i don't think that'll hurt the beer inside . was this a good deal?

I saw those on craigslist! Looks like you'll need to buy gaskets for all of 'em, but it's not a bad deal. I love flip tops.

Great deal... the plastic crates put it over the top. I sold one crate of those (with the plastic case) for $35 with the bottles (15 or 16 to the case, I cannot remember right now, but know it was less than my other german crates that hold 20).

Good for you!

Those crates are worth their weight in gold. Gaskets are relatively cheap for flip tops so don't sweat that. I think you got a pretty good deal if you really like flip tops and considering the fact that they came with the plastic beer crates.

well, that makes me feel better. they had the gaskets on them, but they were getting kinda hard and most of them were sticky/moldy. i figured it would be best to just replace them instead of risking it. plus, my brother got me some 1 liter flip tops for christmas that accidentally came without the tops so i'll be ordering some stuff anyways.
