Corny And Oxi Clean
Is it cool to use oxi clean with cornnies?

rdwj 02-06-2007 07:34 PM

Yes - it's not a problem

look for oxy-clean free ( no color or fragance) if you can find it. But I wouldn't hesitate to use regular oxy clean if you can't

thanks. i read that oxi might tarnish

I recall reading someone saying OxiClean works great for removing the labels from bottles just thought i would throw it out their as we are on topic.

Oxiclean is great on cornies, it will clean out any ingrained odours.

Oxi is good for stainless steel but keep it away from aluminum. It will oxidize it.

i just cleaned two cornies with oxy clean(generic brand from grocery store).
worked fantastic.

yes, it will oxidize aluminum, but that oxide layer is good... it just looks ugly.

i've used oxiclean for many kegs when i first get them (all used), and it works quite well to clean them up.
