Default Cornelius Keg Maximum Pressure

I am kinda new to kegging, so pardon the dumb question... I am using corn sugar to carbonate my beer in the keg to make my co2 tank last longer as refills are a PITA to refill for me. I have the beer in the keg with the corn sugar now and put 5 lbs. of pressure in it to seal it up good. I have a pressure gauge on the air side to monitor internal pressure, but got me to thinking I do not know how much is too much.

Anyone know, or can point me to a reference?

TIA,
Dan

The keg can take much more than the beer will handle.

The blow off valve should pop way before the max PSI is reached. (Around 100 PSI SWP)

I don't think I've ever taken mine above 35PSI

Thanks Orfy. Just another one of those "hmmmm" questions while sitting around waiting for your homebrew to finish :-)

Most of my cornies say a maximum of 135 PSI, but the relief valves can run 20-50 PSI (based on experience).
