This should definately be re-useable!

CO2 catridges are standard issue!

Standard issue 12g or 16g? I'm clueless when it comes to CO2 cartridges.

For what it's worth it takes a 16 g cartridge. I had to jam a little tp in the bottom of the holder to get it to puncture, but it pressurized again. I just have some iodophore solution in it right now but I figured it could use a good sanitizing and it's the perfect size 1.5 gal for 1 tsp!!

It's PET, 1 inside the triangle FYI

Does CO2 have any detrimental effects on iodophor?? Just curious don't want to kill a brew with my little experiment

Here is something I am curious on, but not sure:

When we go to re-use this.......would we just add uncarbonated beer, and let the CO2 cartridge fully carbonate it?

Would the CO2 cartridge be enough to carbonate that much beer and dispense it?

If not, I guess you would add sugar when you fill it up so it would create the carbonation, then the CO2 cartridge would just be used to maintain carbonation as well as help dispense!

I am not sure if when they initially filled it up, if they put in carbonated beer, and the CO2 cartridge was to help dispense it.......or if the beer was uncarbonated, and the CO2 cartridge was enough to carbonate AND dispense it?

No you would need to prime the sucker first. CO2 force carbonation uses a bunch more than whats need for dispensing.

very cool, i can't wait to get one up here to play with. I have been looking for portable systems to take on the boat. And didn't really want to pay for the TAD system.

Thanks!

Yeah, that small CO2 cartridge didn't look like it was enough to carbonate AND dispense!
