Default convert O2 regulator for CO2 use???

My stepfather has an oxygen regulator from an oxy-acetylene torch he said I could have (as soon as he finds it...). I'm guessing I can convert it to use for CO2 if I change out the fittings?

Haven't been able to find any information on if it will work. Anyone done this before??

TIA!!

Default

I'm not sure if all O2 fittings are the same, but the fittings for the little O2 bottles are left-hand threaded.
