Convert 2" Shank into Tower Shank
 

Quick question about shanks.

If I currently have 2" shanks, like: http://www.beveragefactory.com/draftbeer/faucets/shanks/SHANK2.shtml


Can I convert them into Tower Shanks with elbows and have them fit a 3" tower? Like: http://www.beveragefactory.com/draftbeer/faucets/shanks/4329AS-3E_elbow_shank.shtml

Yes, you can.
But when you cut them shorter you'll be cutting off the hose barb. You'll have to add a tailpiece, nut, and washer.

Also, the cut end must be very square and smooth. I would use a lathe if you have access to one.
