Hey all -

Probably a noob question, but I'd like to ask before I secure my clamps and set everything up.

Does the ID of your gas tubing matter? I have a 1/4" 3-way CO2 manifold so obviously I need 1/4" tubing. The guy at my LHBS told me that with 1/4" I better not raise the pressure over 10 PSI or there might be trouble. I have a hard time believing this.

Well, it depends on the line. 3/16" thick wall (OD 7/16") gas line can handle 80 PSI (this is for Bevlex 200, which you can also use as Beverage line. Other manufacturers will vary.)

I have 1/4" tubing that I bought at cornykeg.com (I live near it). I'll never be raising the PSI above 30 as I carb @ 38F.

I'm assuming I'll be alright or why would they even make 1'4" manifolds?

Even thin wall 1/4" vinyl line from the hardware store is still rated at 50psi. You will be fine.
