Default Co2 tank issues

Just had my co3 tank refilled and hooked back up to a carbonated keg. As soon as I turn the gas on it goes full throttle psi even with the adjustment knob turned all the way down? Is it due to the co2 tank being ice cold when filled?

Is the adjustment knob turned all the way OUT/counterclockwise or IN/clockwise? Do you have dual gauges?

Yes dual gauge. Knob is turned all the way in direction of - sign. Not in front of it right now so not sure if turning clockwise or counter. I have been using it with no issue prior to this refill

Zero delivery pressure on the "line out" of the regulator, is with the knob turned full counter clockwise.
When it stops turning "out", don't force it any further, bleed your pressures as needed, and start anew.

I've had that happen, it's caused by liquid CO2 being injected into the regulator and phase-changing which causes the pressure to sky-rocket.

Here's how I've cured it: shut off the tank valve, disconnect the regulator, get a good grip on the tank, point the outlet in a safe direction, and open the valve for a short blast or two. Then reconnect the regulator and you should be good to go...

Cheers!

Sounds like you got it solved, but next time specify CO2. Part of your problem could be the CO3. LOL.

Take care,
