Default Citric Acid to clean brass manifold patina?

The 4 way co2 manifold I bought has a good bit of greenish colored patina built up on it.

I was told that a dip in a citric acid solution will clean it right up but I can't find any info about anyone actually doing it for a co2 manifold, just google results for antiques etc.

Anyone cleaned their manifold this way before? If so whats the ideal ratio of Citric Acid:water?
