Default Carbonating w/ Tank in Fridge...

Howdy,

Saw a lot of posts about putting the CO2 tank in the fridge vs no in the fridge, but I think this is a question not quite answered...

When I am trying to carbonate the beer in my keg, if I follow the table by crossing the temp with the volumes to get needed PSI, do I need to alter it at all if the tank is in the fridge? My hunch is no based on my knowledge of how this works.

But the reason I'm asking is, when I pressurize the keg, it will be at room temp. If I then put it in the fridge (with or without the tank in there) the pressure will lower in the keg. I assume when this happens, the regulator will allow more CO2 into the keg to compensate. Correct?

Thanks for your info!

Cheers,
Kojones

Doesn't matter, tank in or out, regulator in or out, since the gas is at fridge temp when absorbed by the beer.
