I am debating on which thing to do. I have to option buy one or make one kegerator. I have small budget.

And skip the paying of making something and in the future convert it to two keg tower.
Yes like we all I am as well looking on creglist for cheap fridge that would work to convert it but in me area I only found couple that are too small to fit a two keg setup.

So basically for the same cost, you have the choice of instant gratification over something that may take time, and depending on your DIY skills may be challenging and time consuming to make?

It comes down to how big of a DIY'er are you? Does it give you pleasure to make something, even if things get f-ed up and you have to problem solve, are you you just happy owning something....Not necessarily making it.

My Keezer which has 3 beers on tap, and can hold five cost me over a grand to make when all was said and done, and took 2 months. And I had quite a few challenges, which I had to trouble shoot. I'm pretty handy but no carpenter, so it was a bit of a hassle, but I'm proud of it.

My Diy skills are o.k. to a good level. Never played around modifying fridge but I was thinking to accept the challenge. I have seen many people on the forum having great success going this route. If I could find a fridge for a 30-65 dollar range I would not even think of buying anything. And some people are crazy on pricing there old fridge, some even more then the new ones of the same model.
