I make a pumpkin ale. I want to get more brown sugar in it.
When I bottle can I substitute brown sugar for corn sugar? Is it the same ratio as corn sugar?
It's for a 5gal batch.
I would plug it into software as white sugar. All brown sugar is is white sugar with some molasses added for the color and flavor.
Sub for sucrose/table sugar, which you need just a little less of than corn sugar.
