Default Ball Lock connectors

I just got my Ball Lock connectors today and I was going to put them on my kegerator. I had no problem with the gas side but I’m unclear what to do with the beer line. Should I just cut the beer line where the connection piece for the "sanky" is? If I do that will I be able to switch from home brew to a Sanky style tap?

you can put quick disconnects on the beer line and CO2 line so that you can easily change from Sankey to ball lock systems.

The quick disconnects are available here: http://morebeer.com/product.html?product_id=17398 I'm sure any good supply house has them. My LHBS does.
