Default anyone seen a keg leak here?

Just got this keg a few days ago and it leaks. Looks like it may have cracked under the rubber?

Yeah, that's no good. I hope you can exchange it.

I got it from Midwest supplies. They agreed to exchange it but in the meantime my co2 is being wasted. I guess the holiday ale it's going to have to get drank up quickly.

Just for the heck of it, you can depressurize, remove the post, ( is that the liquid out side?), if so, pull the dip tube, get a strong flashlight, and look for cracks.

Also, check the condition of the dip tube o-rings on that side, perhaps the one betwixt the tube and the keg is dicked up, or missing

Worth a shot, unless you just wanna' drink it quicker.........

waverz,
I had a keg that leaked like that.
It was a toss-up to try and repair it or trash it.
I thought I would at least see what the story was.
Cut and ground away the rubber at the base of the post and there was a small crack.
Dremel tool roughened up the crack and silver brazed it.
It brazed up fine, I'm still using the keg.
Regards,
John

PS: If you do not want to repair it, bad kegs can be made into great charcoal/briquette fire starters chimneys.
