Default American Wheat fermentation

I am going to begin my third batch of American wheat. I would like to get some imput from anyone who has mastered this brew. I am escpeccialy trying to determine the best fermentaion times from primary to secondary.

Why would it be different from any other ale? Move it to secondary when the primary fermentation has finished, and then bottle it after a couple of weeks in the secondary.

General rule is 1 week primary, 2 weeks secondary, then bottle. YMMV.

With all of my wheats, the primary ferment is explosive. So, for me, its 2 weeks in the primary, one week in the secondary. Sometimes, its primary only. As soon as my target gravity is hit, its done.

American wheats, in my opinion and experience, are better off drank when young. German wheats are better after some time aging. My .02!
