Was thinking that if I am not "Wowed" by the results I would soak some oak cubes in Maker's mark and toss them in to make it into a Backwoods Bastard clone.
If it's fully carbed, adding any solids to the beer will cause a pretty instantaneous (and probably quite vigorous) bubbling and overflowing--see Mentos+Coke, for example. I wouldn't add the oak, although you could soak the cubes in maker's and then add bourbon (now infused with oak) itself if you liked.
Release pressure (keep it cold) to nil, and do so again in 4 hours.
Should be safe to add, but I wouldn't do it. The mediocre beer you have is better than the over the top too much beer that you end up with, and then have to down.
