Default 1/4" beer line

Is anyone using 1/4" beer line successfully? I have 20 ft of it on my kegorator and it generates foam in the line.

At the HB conference they talked about that very thing. You need to be using 3/8" tubing. 1/4" has less of a pressure drop per foot so it takes a lot more. With 3/8" you need about 6 or 7 feet to balance the system.

My system is balanced, but I think the hose to too large and cause bubbles from the hose size. The pour is slow, just very foamy. I am cooling the tower too.

Mathmatically my system is balanced at 17 feet if I remember right for 10 psi.

I think RichBrewer meant 3/16" line as 3/8 is actually larger than 1/4" line, and is used by bars for long runs, but they'll choke down the line near the faucets I hear.
