i plan on doing a 1 gal test batch of the "5 day sweet cider" recipe. my question is do i use a full packet of yeast and if i do can i wash/harvest it and use it for a bigger batch?
Yes & yes; though if you're using dry wine yeast, I don't really see the point in harvesting/washing. Regards, GF.
