You'll probably be fine, but keep in mind that beer/wine/cider is acidic, and water isn't. You're not really supposed to store acids in plastic only made for drinking water. Chances are good that it could safely store alcohol as well, but I'd double-check with the seller or manufacturer first, if it's marketed specifically for drinking water.
