Well this is what I had in mind. I love cider and I love maply syrup so why not make a cider with about two to three pounds of maple syrup? I've made meads with maple syrup and they have never lasted long enough to age so I'm wondering how maple and apples will team up.

We don't see Maple Syrup here properly in the UK and it's a while since i tasted the good stuff but if you like the two together it'll work - High sugar levels though. You haven't mentioned batch size or yeast. Bare that in mind with ABV/sweetness.

If you can get your hands on some Grade B or C, it will stand up better in an ale or cider than Grade A. Weird thing about maple syrup grading, it was setup when maple syrup was used as a sweetner, so the highest grades have the least flavor!
