3 campden tabs
3.75 tsp. pectic enzyme
1/2 tsp wyeast yeast nutrient blend
2 lbs brown sugar
Currently in primary, adding locally picked blackberries from this summer on Saturday.
Are you dropping the berries in whole or mashing them?
I'm going to do a quick flash pasteurization on the berries, so a mash. Have you done similar brews? If so what's worked for you?
I haven't done anything like that yet, but hopefully soon. That's why I was asking. Let me know how it turns out.
Will do my krausen dropped this morning so I'm adding the blackberries tonight to the primary. I plan on racking into five single gallons for secondary to add different aromatics like ginger, and cloves.
That looks awesome! I can't wait to try adding berries, but as I'm still a newbie I want to get a cider down first before I move on.
