I mixed up a 1 gallon batch of Edwort's Apfelwein yesterday. I pitched the yeast- Red Star Montrachet and a day later there is still no airlock activity. Did I do something wrong and if so how can I fix it?
Did you use concentrate juice?

I used Apple & Eva Apple Juice. The label says its made from concentrate.
Was it cold? What's your fermentation temp? It may take another 12 hours if it is too cold.
It was room temp. when I poured it. now its sitting in my basement at about 68-70 degrees. Thanks for the help.
sometimes it will start right up, sometimes not, I've had a couple batches that took 36-48 hours for the yeast to multiply enough to get any airlock activity... RDWHAHB...
