So I got this crazy idea about 2 weeks ago that I was going to make proper cider from apple juice rather than from a kit. I went out and after much searching found some really nice pasteurized cider that contained no preservatives.

I want to know what you guys think about this "recipe"

12 litres (about 2.5 - gallons) quality apple cider
.75 litres of high malt glucose
2 litres warm water (to dilute glucose)
1.5 ounces of "ale yeast"

Sorry I'm not sure the strain of yeast. It is something that I had bought a week or two ago and never asked. I think it is just Cooper's ale yeast.

I added the glucose to get my SG up to 1064. I am fermenting at around 21 celcius.

What's the chances this might turn out alright?

With 45 gm of yeast in 14L, I think it will explode. I'd recommend pitching around 17C if you can. Otherwise, it sounds fine, the HMG should give it a little extra body and greater depth of flavor.
