Default Film yeasts

How do you prevent these occurring in the first place, and how do you get rid of them once you have them? Thanks

I haven't heard of film yeasts. I thought yeasts always live in the liquid. Acetobacter lives in a film on the surface because it needs o2. Prevention involves keeping o2 away from the cider and good sanitation.
Maybe you mean movies about yeast, a genre I'm not familiar with.

Sorry for being so sarky, I did find a reference to film yeasts today while looking up something else, they are oxidative yeasts so as with acetobacter, keep the o2 out.

Best avoided by topping up your carboy, and avoiding jarring the liquid in any way.
